This year the Wheeler side of the family spent a weekend in Blue Ridge for the Christmas celebration. The cabin was beautiful with amazing views. The girls kept asking where the snow was. Although it was cold enough, there was no snow for them. I think they still had a great time. We played the Wii, shopped some downtown, and just relaxed. The girls also made a "critter" in downtown Blue Ridge which was part of their Christmas present from Aunt Jane and Uncle Skip. They also slept in bunk beds which was a big hit.

Christmas Time

Christmas was nice and uneventful this year. We went to the children's Christmas Eve service where the girls sang and Reese performed with the Sacred Dancers. Nana and Papa Ingram came to visit on Christmas Day and stayed through the weekend. The girls loved their new Barbie guitars, arts and crafts, and the new play set! It took Keith all day to put it together as we assumed. It has been a big hit, even with the neighborhood.

Thanksgiving Party

On Friday, the girls had their Thanksgiving feasts at preschool. Whitney wore her pilgrim bonnet and Reese made an indian outfit complete with her on pappoose. Nana and Papa Shuman were able to come so I think that made it an extra special day.

We had a great last week and weekend. The girls had Halloween parades and parties at school and we went Trick-or-Treating with our neighbors on Friday. Reese dressed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and Whitney was Fancy Nancy. They were so excited! Now, I am trying to stay away from the candy and keep them from being on a constant sugar high!

Okay, now that it is October, maybe I will finally begin to blog! Reese and Whitney are both in preschool and love every minute of it. They are also involved with soccer... well Reese is. Whitney mainly sits in my lap most of the game! I posted some action shots of the games so far. We are half way through the season so we will see how it goes.

March 28th

I am just beginning the "blog" for our family so we shall see how well I keep up with it. Hopefully, it will be easier for out of town family and friends to see what we are up to. This has been a fairly busy and tiring week since all of us have finally been graced with the cold Whitney has had for a while. I think everyone is getting over it so I hope we do not get another wave in the house! Reese and Whitney have been keeping us busy as usual. They love to play outside with a couple of the neighbors so that is usually where we spend our late afternoons and evenings. Reese is doing well in school right now and loves it. I have just finished my first cake decorating class and really loved it. I will begin the next class in a couple of weeks so look for pictures of the cakes. Our choir is starting to work on our Broadway Nights production of the Music Man so I will be pretty busy the next couple of months planning for the performances. Keith has been busy working and doing some projects around the house. He is also playing softball with the church and seems to enjoy it. I guess that is pretty much all for now. I will work on updating pictures in the next few days.
